More Than Drum Lessons Alone...
Studio Muso offer drum lessons to anyone looking to study and learn the drums in a fun, encouraging atmosphere. Taught by professional drum teacher, Tom Hodgson (Terrorcaster, Those Who Speak) we offer a free drum lesson so that you can try us out first too. Based in the Brighton & Hove area of East Sussex, our unique approach to learning combines:
One-to-one drum lessons.
Regular recording time.
Extensive online material.
In our first lesson together, we will discuss the strengths and weaknesses in your drumming, how much time you would like to devote to studying the drums and from there, decide upon the best direction required to make improvements to your playing from the first lesson onwards. We will create detailed lesson plans with you tailored towards what you want to learn and the techniques needed to get you there. This could start from something as simple as learning to play along to your favourite songs and developing your skills or by diving straight into a style of music you've always wanted to get your head around. Everyone learns in different ways and our unique combination of one-to-one tuition, regular recording time and video lessons allow for the 3 main ways that we all learn (Visually, Audibly and Kinetically) to not only be covered, but thoroughly explored. Let's face it, learning an instrument instantly becomes much more fun when you're able to discover what learning style works best for you!
During your recording sessions, you will be able to put what you have learned behind the kit into practice and more importantly, context. We will review your recordings in the lessons where you will get used to analysing your playing the same way you would in a professional recording session and after a short while, you will become seasoned to studio work. On top of this, you will have access to our exclusive online e-learning platform that is only available to our students. This will cause you to excel in your drumming ability fast and effectively.
