If you're a local band or artist looking to play a Brighton gig, it's important to know what promoters in Brighton are relevant to your style/genre of music. I've done a lot of research into finding what promoters are out there (big and small) and it's been much more difficult than I anticipated! I’ve played in quite a variety of bands over the years (currently for the Metalcore band Those Who Speak and the Alt-Rock band Terrorcaster) and trying to keep track of what promoter books what style can be a bit overwhelming. So many that come up in search engine results or directories don't seem to exist anymore... With new promoters popping up all the time in an ever-evolving music scene, you need to know where your opportunities are!
This is a follow up to my guide How To Book Your First Gig In Brighton so if you've never approached the idea of getting a gig before, go check that out first. If you're in need of finding a detailed list of various promoters in the city based upon the genres and styles they book, then well, keep reading.
This list will be regularly updated so that it stays relevant. It only includes promoters who have put on gigs in recent months. If you know of anyone who should be added then leave a comment, drop me an email or buy me a pint and let know ;)
EDIT: Please do a bit of research of your own before contacting these promoters. Don't just send blanket emails to each without considering if they are relevant to your style/genre. If you want to be booked by these promoters, show an interest in their nights and what bands they put on. I'm writing this because there have been some complaints about bands sending irrelevant blanket emails, this will just harm your reputation guys!
